Steven B. Butterfield

Steven Butterfield has been affiliated with Pray Walker since 1997 and concentrates his practice primarily in the area of oil and gas law. Steven has prepared numerous drilling and division order opinions. He has also represented clients in acquisitions and divestitures of oil and gas properties, including the preparation of purchase and sale agreements, due diligence reports and other related contractual documents.  Additionally, he has assisted both royalty and leasehold owners with title curative issues as well as represented vendors and suppliers in the filing of energy-related items.

Steven serves as the Chairman of the Energy Law Group and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.
